I decided to build a banjo uke for myself, and gave it a Kingfisher theme. The shell and recon stone peghead inlay of the Kingfisher is hunting the little abalone fish fret markers.
The rim is built of several layers of segmented cherry and maple, with bubinga accents. The maple neck is also laminated with cherry and bubinga. It has a 17 inch tenor scale . The curved bridge I built works well with the high G tuning.

| Rim | Segmented Cherry & Maple |
| Neck | Maple |
| Accents | Bubinga |
| Fretboard | Ebony with Wenge binding |
| Tuners | Gotoh |
| Fret scale | 17 inch |
