All my life I have made music in ensembles, including school bands and orchestras, choirs, pit orchestras for local theater, and several bluegrass bands. Katherine and I sing and play weekly in a large ukulele strummer’s group. I asked a few friends from that group to form a smaller group to do more challenging material, especially multi-part fingerstyle arrangements of songs from many genres. Over several years, we have added new members and grown our abilities, evolving into a fairly cohesive ensemble  capable of some fun, interesting arrangements. I have come to love arranging pieces for this group, and member Doug Reynolds has also contributed nice arrangements.

Currently at nine members playing many different sizes of ukuleles, we practice weekly, and have performed at local open mic venues, senior living facilities, and at the Reno Uke Fest. We will open a series of summer shows for Minden Music House Concerts, featuring artists such as Richard Smith, Victoria Vox and Michael Powers.

As suitable videos of our orchestra become available, I will post them here.
